The first job I had after moving to Los Angeles was as a production assistant for a WB reality show (right before the WB network became the CW). Part of my job was maintaining this vault full of music and equipment. By the end of the show run - the company went under, and my boss told me to go into the vault and throw away about 20 boxes of CDs that they no longer had use for. On the CDs were these hilarious instrumental tracks for use on reality tv shows and sometimes commercials. Instead of throwing them away - I took the CDs home and made a concept album singing over my favorite tracks. The album was a sometimes fictional/sometimes not so fictional account of growing up in my small town and falling in love at age 16. It's called "Delano." Here's one of my favorite tracks. Also my brother-in-law Tony likes it a lot, so hurray!
